41. He usually stays at my place
When he's doing a gig at Fitzgeralds. We've probably seen each other there, possibly even met.

I 1st saw him at the Quiet Knight, under the el tracks on Belmont. Then the Auditorium and (my mind is going blank) the place on Armitage?

Anyway, there aren't that many of us that have even heard of him, let alone love him.

68. Saw him at least twice at Fitzgeralds. . .
Once at the Riviera, when Corky Siegal warmed him up. At least three times at the old Ivanhoe theater.

I have Contribution, Second Contribution, and Collaboration signed by him. I have all of his old albums on disks, but never play them anymore.

I tried to e-mail him a couple of times. He gave me his e-mail addy but never replied.

That's okay. I forgive him. I have to get his new album soon.

He looked pretty good last time I saw him, a couple of years ago.

They sang Don't Crash the Car Tonight and Ashes back in the late 80's and were popular on KROQ in LA and other alternative stations.

has a new line of clothes with Quiksilver.
So.... look for Fidra by John Ashworth.
It's great.

(long story, but he started Ashworth from scratch and it got big and he wanted to start it all over, so he got out and took a break, played a LOT of golf with many famous people and others, and is on a roll now with Fidra -- even though Ashworth still has our name...but that's cool, too)

Edited on Thu Oct-28-04 03:19 PM by kingfish_junior
I was the Elvis impersonator who entertained them at the Planet Hollywood in Baghdad. After the show they invited me to their table and we ate fried bananas and ice cream. I later had to flee the country with only the possessions I could fit in a paper bag after f**cking up the lyrics to "Hound Dog" one nite when Hussein was entertaining Richard Perle. The look on Perle's face when he asked Saddam for my head on a hummus plate was chilling.
