3. I'm going as a middle-aged dungaree-wearing harridan.
Oh, wait a minute... does it have to be something novel?

5. I'm going as John Kerry!
I just bought the mask yesterday. I'm going to wear a suit and tie and then add some accessories. For example, my sister is making purple hearts, and I'll be pinning and American flag to the jacket.

6. I'm dressing up as a Caucasian male in his early 20's
Granted it's not that original, but I save money by not having to buy an elaborate costume.

9. You could always dress up as a Caucasian male in his late 20's
and test your costume by trying to get into a bar without getting carded.

13. Hey, my mom has braces
and she's over 50. We've got great dental coverage, so she thought 'why not?'.

10. I am going as a zombie.
I have scaring and fake blood. I am going to make my face a dead grey...I did this a few years ago and grossed out the little kiddies who came to the door at my friend's house. I hope to do better this year and hope to PETRIFY people. Once I have the makeup on I will not take it off until the end of the day.

Jinkies. Or something. But, yeah, I am going as everyone's favorite detective. But I'm watching this Jacklyn Smith movie on Lifetime right now and I'm thinking I want to go as her character for Halloween. If only I could find a date to play her creepy cop husband!

16. Doubt if we'll be going out, but if we do
we'll go as the Last Temptation of Christ, with my husband in a brown robe and sandals and me in a devil costume with a whip and a pitchfork.
