Not just because of the whole Boston karma thing -- which I do believe in (and I'm a Yankees fan no less).

I read somewhere that if the Series would have gone 7 games, it would end on Sunday. That would mean that the parade could be on Tuesday, which could have potentially hurt turnout in New Hampshire.

Don't get me wrong, I doubt a Boston mayor would make a mistake like that -- but you never know.

Cardinals don't. Sox may not sweep but they are going to win. Bank on it. I knew the curse was over when the Cards had runners on second and third with none out, got a ground ball to second and the runner on third gets caught in a run down for the second out. I think the Sox may have vanquished the curse when they won game four in the ALCS after a ball bounced into the stands for a ground rule double and kept the Yanks from scoring what probably would have been the winning run. I could swear I saw the ghost of the Babe jump onto the field and kick that ball into the stands at Fenway. Did anyone else see that?

gave up the ghost in game 7 in NY. that homerun by Bellhorn that hit the foul poll and made that awful rattle noise -- well that was the curse's DEATH RATTLE!
