2. I believe it is almost always lipsynced for sound quality

I don't know for sure, that's what a musician I know says.

4. Not everyone

But a lot of the pop people do. They are more of a show than serious singers. I don't know why so many people are bashing the poor girl. I know that blaming her band wasn't a smart move, but she is just a pop performer. I think that the majority of people who are bashing her would sell their soul in a heartbeat to do what she is doing.

6. The reason they are bashing her is because she was marketed..

as NOT being a pop performer and being so much more rock oriented than the female pop singers who are no longer popular. She was marketed as such despite never having performed live with a rock band prior to her father getting her a deal.

They are bashing her because she was quoted previously in interviews as saying how lame singers who lip sync are and how she would never be caught doing it.

I'm sorry but there is just no amount of sympathy this girl will ever get from me. I don't even have problem with pop singers or bubblegum music. But when a girl is given a recording contract and a TV show to promote her record with, all on the basis of having sister who is famous for acting dumb in a reality show, and when they try and market her as some kind of authentic "rocker chick", well then all sympathy goes out the window for me.

8. definitely they showcase a lot of non-talent

I very often skip these segments because I find the "musical guest" to be a hack. As for Ms. Simpson, she is among that breed of female "singers" who I would never spend a dime on.

Not sure about people selling their soul to do what she does - I certainly would not.

I am offended by this because really talented people don't get a break and she does. She makes millions for being no more talented or even less talented than me. That's the only reason I take her and her dumbass sister to task.

except for the NBC affiliate who ran the story every 30 minutes on every newscast Sunday and Monday, before, during and after the tape loop of the skater getting dumped on her head, and Monday's broadcast of NBC Nightly 'NEWS' thought it ranked right up there with 50 Iraqis being killed...other than that-You are the first! take a bow!
