I love helping people. I really hope to go into public service someday, because I can't stand sitting on the sidelines, but for now, volunteering will pacify my needs. It's just a wonderful, rewarding experience, and you get to meet so many fantastic people!

I really enjoy Christmas because I bake all kinds of cookies and give them away as presents.

I like to decorate the house for Christmas and to give presents to my family and friends. They aren't always huge or expensive presents, but I try to listen to what they like, and find things that match them.

and ollaliberry tarts with my daughter down on the docks, watching the fishermen unloading their catches - (which is what I did this afternoon).

Waking up in the middle of the night and hearing the ocean - or the rain. Talking to my great-grandaughter on the phone. She's 2 - can't understand much of what she says - "I you=I love you" & am tickled when she laughs at my responses. (Tonight)

Finding a teenager who's willing to walk an incapacitated senior's dog (this morning)- looking out the window and seeing a flock of turkey's crossing my garden (Saturday) - just stuff like that that slaps me up side the head and tells me I'm alive.

Yesterday I spent 4 or 5 hours doing html for a project I hope to get- the time flew by.

Especially when I remember not to 'push the river' life is an very interesting spectacle.

I HATE mornings. They should be illegal. Sleeping in without any disturbance is a rare thing. The damn alarm wakes me up on the weekdays and the four year old wakes me up on the weekends. :(
