According to this FReeper, we are 'imploding' here on DU
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 07:46 PM by Zuni
As far as I can tell, all of the stuff he listed is normal. We have been complaining about CNN for years, most of us don't trust polls that have a higher percentage of GOP respondents than Dems and Independants.
All in all, we are confident that Nov. 2 will go our way, because most likely there will be a very high voter turnout which benefits Dems more than the GOP. Plus more young people are voting in larger numbers, and most young voters would never vote for the GOP (greedy old people)
Here it is, in all of it's glory:

Going through the messages at the DemoErratic Underground, I have noticed a sense of aprehension, teeth grinding and simply, desperation. They are lashing out! They are attacking Paula Zahn (I guess she exasperated Joe Biden), saying terrible things about Katie Couric (for putting away her cheerleading outfit), slamming Zogby (their former favorite pollster), throwing a tantrum with Gallup, and assailing CNN (the Clintonista News Network). The polls are not going Kerry's way, even after polling relatively well over the weekend. That Gallup Poll putting Bush ahead by 8 points in Florida simply was too much. So, when the polls tighten again, and they will because we are in the middle of the final push, the last gasp by the MSM to push the cadeveric Kerry ahead, let's keep our sense of humor and optimism because President Bush will be re-elected carrying both Ohio and Florida. Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and New Mexico are gravy for the President. Let's say a prayer for the sanity of our friends at the DU and fellow DU'er Elizaphant Edwards

1. That's the Republican plan for the week
Say that Kerry and Democrats are desperate, trying to create the notion that Kerry and Dems believe they're doing badly. What's funny is the reverse is the truth.

Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 07:49 PM by Zuni
But it is funny, because hannity was flipping out and doing propaganda double time!
To me, hannity sounded freaked out---it sounded desperate

I want them to be all happy and confident going into Nov. 2nd. The shock of their fuhrer getting his chickenhawk ass handed to him on a platter is going to be all the more great.

8. How juvenile
Elizaphant? Is that what they've resorted to? Namecalling?

Never mind the dead bodies over there! Didya hear that Elizabeth Edwards is overweight?

Don't worry about the tanking economy. Let me tell you about John Kerry's windsurfing!

Forget the looted explosives. John Edwards is a TRYAL LAWYUH!

The fact that we still haven't found Osama Bin Laden is not a source of concern. Lemme show you this picture of Teresa Heinz Kerry holding a couple of BEER BOTTLES!!! Hey! Ketchup! She's rich, you know! Ketchup!!!

These seem to be the thoughts of the average Repugnican. See why I'm confident in a Kerry win?

15. The Irony of Your Post
You just called the Republicans Repugnicans.

Don't get me wrong. I think it's funny calling those lame-asses names. But calling them out for doing the same thing is kind of ironic.

19. There's a difference.
There's a bit of a difference between calling an individual a cruel name, and applying a name like that to a group. When you single out one individual for ridicule, it's just plain mean - that's schoolyard shit. Especially making fun of something as personal as one's weight.

The same thing just doesn't apply when you're talking about a group as large as the Republicans. You're not singling one individual out for a particular physical attribute.

If their idea of attractive is that snaggle toothed beanpole hoe bag Mann Coulter, then they have no credibility in judging attractiveness.

28. ok, I gotta admit
For a guy who's 51 years old to look that good is a little freaky. People keep referring to him as "kid", and "young" - the man's 5 years older than the Big Dawg was when he took office.

So, you know what? I'll give them a pass on the "Breck Girl" thing. Anyone who can spend 6 years in the Senate and still look 15 years younger than they really are could use a little ridicule.

...not that I'm jealous or anything.

...ok, I am, but that's got nothing to do with it.

...yes it does.

29. yes, but for President of the United States to make the
statement that he didn't choose his running mate based on his hair is quite juvenile, IMO and adds fuel to the freeper's fire.

10. Imploding?
I don't know what board they're reading, but it's not DU. Things are pretty upbeat around here these days. Personally, I haven't felt this optimistic about our country since Clinton was President! I feel like "help is on the way" and we may actually survive this mess. :-)

13. What do they say
about the 380 tons of explosives? Anyone could misplace it? Don't blame George? I don't want to get my hands dirty by going over there.
I'm in Iowa. I am feeling very confident of a victory here. I have been saying landslide for quite a while, but will continue to work my butt off as if my kids lives depend on it - which they do.
I used to think that W was a bout the dumbest person on earth. I am wrong. I think he knows himself that he is lying but believes the ends justify the means. The dumbest people are the ones who believe him and will vote for him. Talk about being left behind! I just can't believe there are enough totally stupid people in this coutry that will put him in office again.
Hope I didn't violate any rules with that outburst.
And tell them to lay off Elizabeth. She is a real human, not a kewpie doll.

17. Ya know, I think they're nuts too, but I think we have our share
of non-thinkers here on DU too.

I don't believe we should slam Zogby because of today's polling results, just because we don't like them. I'm not sure any of the polls are right, just because they are all over the place. I know they all make certain assumptions, and they know they could be wrong too.

I really do have a very positive feeling about Kerry winning, but I admit, the Pugs probably feel the same way.

I really do believe this election is very close, and it's outcome will depend on Party turnout.

18. They have some nerve attacking Mrs. Edwards weight,
especially considering (based on the pictures I saw) some of them look like they have a reserved parking spot at the local buffet, if you catch my drift.

Disclaimer: I am fairly overweight myself, but at least I don't criticize people for being fat.

Exception: I have laughed at Candy Crowley jokes, but that is mainly because she is a media whore.

20. Out of touch with reality
I saw someone say that the only explanation for Bush supporters at this point was that they are like someone who spent a million dollars on a forged painting and are reluctant to admit it's a fake no matter what the experts say. I think that makes sense, because the only other alternative is that they're 100% certifiable. BTW, I wonder what freepy thought about the news out of Iraq that the adminisitration's negligence in the post-invasion period resulted in tons of explosives disappearing. "I hopes none of them wolves is gonna ta get us."

25. They think coming over here and posting ...
polls that show Kerry behind, then twenty minutes later posting a thread that says "Oh, God, I know Kerry's going to lose!" themselves accomplishes anything but to get them tombstoned.

We wouldn't be nearly as anxious as we are if we didn't already know Goopers will cheat.

They're afraid we'll (legimiately) get more voters to the polls -- so many they can't cheat well enough to reinstall Bush*.

It's not only projection -- the mouth-breathers come over here, post fifteen or sixteen times in the Lounge and then start posting Chicken Little posts in GD and GD:04. They think we're fooled.
