Bushie complains - Button seller lack a button saying "Bush will win"
There is a table of buttons near Zabar's on Broadway. The guy has been out there for weeks but Saturday business was brisk. I'm looking over the selection -- W circle slash, No Carb diet, Kerry Edwards A Stronger America, etc.

Republican couple steps up, nicely dressed but brain dead. Guy says, "Do you have any that say 'Bush will win' ? I answer smiling, "Oh you're not going to need THAT." And he has no comeback. The button seller holds up a sticker which from our distance says B U S H in big letters. What the repub can't see are the small letters in between which make it read B U ll S H i t. Repug says "I will get that on the way back." Seller says doubtfully, "Can you read it?" The guy is a little taken back, "Sure!" Seller and I are just laughing.

Only later does it strike me how stupid it would be to have a button that says {name of candidate} "will win." It struck me that the reason that Bushies can't stay on one subject during an argument (they lose each segment when you lay out facts, so they just go to the next lie) is because they don't really believe Bush is great -- they just want to piss off "liberuls."
