Even though my son isn't a bully, I am having him and his friend sit down and watch this with me, so we can discuss the subject. Both of them have actually taken on bullies, so I am proud of them.
But the show goes into the mentality of bullies, and I want both of them to learn to ignore such people.
Yesterday, a kid called my son a "faggot." Then the kid pushed him down on his rump. My son got up, grabbed the kid (who has flunked fifth grade TWICE) by the collar, and told him he'd better shut his nasty mouth or he'd shut it for him. A teacher walked up and asked my son if he wanted to go to the office (she hadn't seen what started the fight), and my son replied, "Yes, ma'am, I'll be GLAD to go." She didn't send, him, though, after he told her what had happened.
When recess was over and my son returned to class, evidently word of what caused the skirmish got back to my son's teacher, and she asked him. "Was it ugly?" and my kid replied, "No, but he is," and she smiled.
