2. I don't watch sports that much anymore ...

but when I did it was always ESPN . I practically watched Sportscenter every morning while in middle school . Especially during college basketball season . Mind you , I am a girl . lol - Now I could never get into FOX Sports .

4. Jay Mariotti (Sun-Times) and Rick Morrissey (Tribune)

Both are AWFUL. But, that's only Chicago. In the other cities where I've lived, I liked the columnists. You're right, Rappaport is good....Randy Galloway is outstanding too, FW Star-Telegram.

Must put in a plug too, for Mike Downey, formerly of the LA paper, now with the Chicago Trib. EXCELLENT!!!!

5. I really like Jerry Magee

San Diego and Pro Football Weekly. Excellent, both in writing and football knowledge. He's had the best column in PFW for 25+ years.

One guy on the Miami Herald irritates me: Greg Cote. He might not be the worst, but his daily forced attempts at humor typically include a dozen or more misses for every hit.
