Yes, Kirk was macho & arrogant... but, he could back it up and was a great captain of the Enterprise. The macho & arrogant thing was no act. Bush, as I heard somebody say, is all hat & no cowboy. The macho thing is an act, and he had been an incompetent captain/Commander in Chief of the USA.

But, Picard is like Kerry.

By the way, I voted for Picard, though I like all the Star Trek captains - Pike, Kirk, Picard, Janeway, Sisko & the new guy.
