I just watched the HBO 9/11 documentary and I finally figured it out!
Why I hate Bush with every ounce of my being.

As I watched all the pain and tears I remembered how I felt on that fateful day. I saw blacks, whites, hispanics, straights, gays and all manner of different people coming together. They shared common tears. For that brief moment, there was no cultural hate. It was us versus the people that brought down the towers. Us was all people. It was truely beautiful.

And the rest of the world felt our pain. They cried with us. They vowed to stand with us. When has the world ever been more united?

Then Bush figured out that this tragedy was valuable political currency and exploited it to its fullest.

Suddenly, we stand alone AGAINST the world. Once again different ethnic and cultural groups are at war with each other within our nation. What should have a truely unifying event was squandered and the consequences bedamned just so we could obtain Iraq's oil.

There is a special place in hell reserved just for Bush and his cronies.

1. Agreed!
Just finished watching it on the left coast.

I have to say, my opinion of Guliani went up a few notches after seeing this again. Yes, I know his womanizing faults ... but when it came time for him to lead, he rose to the occasion. Compare with Smirky who at first did nothing, then ran away, then had his party sell pics of him running away.

2. I'll second that one.
I watched it with a mixture of sadness and rage in my heart. I sat on my couch and cried and balled my fists in rage.

All I could think was... "That motherf___er Bush. None of this had to happen!" It was a great reminder to what we all have been fighting for since 12/12/2000.

Keep up the fight... we shall prevail.

4. well put
and I feel exactly the same way. He politicized the tragedy for his own ends. May he rot in hell along side the people who brought down the towers "to glorify God."
