This was a series about corporate greed. This was one of the best political shows ever on the air.

1. It ended badly.
The final episode left me depressed.

3. Are you referring to the old one with Earl, Fran, the grumpy grandma,
Robbie, Charlene and "I'm the baby, gotta love me"? We have some of the video tapes, but I wouldn't mind more epiodes on DVD.

7. That's the one.
I can't help wondering how much that helped with putting Clinton in the White House.

9. Hadn't thought of that, but I do know that my kids think that the
political humor in it is relevant to what they notice going on around them now. What progress - the same fights this many years down the road!

5. I was just thinking of that show
I remember the episode where earl was running for some office against his boss and his boss made him sing "how lovely to be a woman". He complained about feeling like a boob and his wife responded "complete boobs need representation too". The debates made that scene pop into my head

15. It's been a long time but it involved a chain reaction of bad decisions
They replaced a certain plant with artifical ones and so the whatever was migrating there stopped and so they had a bunch of pests that would have been eaten. They did stuff with insecticide which created another environmental disaster and eventually they blew up all the volcanoes and created an ice age. At the end (which everyone is shivering) Earl is assuring the baby that, as long as they have been around, they weren't going to become extinct.

I've been thinking a lot lately about that two-parter where Robbie joins the army. Powerful stuff in this day and age.

On edit: I wouldn't expect it out on DVD anytime soon. We can't have Der Maus associating itself with such subversive material, now can we?

13. Wasn't that when a war was started over pistachioes?

And the aggression progressed from spitting to throwing rocks and sticks? The older dinosaurs became concerned when there was a real chance that someone could get hurt.

14. That's the one.
The government covered up how badly the war was going, and the media was playing right along.
