I love Neil Young.
Sorry, I just had to share that.
Go back to what ever you were doing.

4. Same here
I've always been a fan. I recently got around to getting the old Buffalo Springfield re-releases and Neil's first two solo efforts, so I pretty much have everything he's ever releases. I have to admit, the opening chords of 'My My Hey Hey' stab me in the heart whenever I hear them. Best use of a minor chord, ever. And haunting in the most emotional way.

6. Me too and here is one of my favorite songs
There is a town in north Ontario,
With dream comfort memory to spare,
And in my mind
I still need a place to go,
All my changes were there.

Blue, blue windows behind the stars,
Yellow moon on the rise,
Big birds flying across the sky,
Throwing shadows on our eyes.
Leave us

Helpless, helpless, helpless
Baby can you hear me now?
The chains are locked
and tied across the door,
Baby, sing with me somehow.

Blue, blue windows behind the stars,
Yellow moon on the rise,
Big birds flying across the sky,
Throwing shadows on our eyes.
Leave us

Helpless, helpless, helpless.

8. So does Dana Carvey.
His impression of "every Neil Young song you've ever heard" is hilarious.

9. Try this
In case anyone doesn't know, Neil's live performances are available on Furthurnet. Furthurnet is a peer to peer file sharing system for LEGAL recordings of artists who allow recordings of their performances for non-commercial purposes. Neil is among those, I have dozens of shows from the last 30 years. One fellow has put together a 7 or 8 disc set of some of the best spanning Neil's entire career, it's amazing. Music on Furthurnet is available in SHN, FLAC and MP3 format. www.furthurnet.org

13. Times come and go, but Neil is always Neil.
The coolest man in rock. Would love to spend a day with this guy.

Favorite Neil Young musical moment: the guitar lick right after the line "Big Jon's been drinkin' since the river took Emmy Lou..." on the studio version of Powderfinger.

Carried the rest of those jokers in CSNY. And I would love to have been a fly on the wall to see/hear he and Rick James in the Mhyna Birds.
