Almost cut my hair.

I had the strangest urge to go out and pay to have my hair cut on my birthday. I was really planning to do it, but ran out of time. Then late that night, the urge had passed. Maybe next year.

Oh, and then I had a micro-breakdown the next day. That ever happen to anyone else? Your birthday makes you feel SO crap that you just about lose it?

I think I still will cut a bit off the ends though. But at least then I'm not paying for it. :)

3. I've been in the same mood!

I have really long hair and lately, every once in a while, I get the urge to just get it cut off! I really am going to do it soon. I have enough that I can donate it to Locks of Love, so I really don't have an excuse to keep it this long anymore.

Mine's getting obscene. I mean -- I'd never chop it all off, as I haven't had completely short hair since I was 12 and it. was. awful.

But this is getting ridiculous. It's out of control. I think the last time I set foot in a haircut place was January.

The last time I had mine cut was over a decade ago. I've cut it myself since then... trimmed around the front, and taken some length off the back. I just love it long. I don't know what came over me.

5. I just had two inches cut off.

People say they can hardly tell the different, but I think it looks stupid.
Not to mention, I eat like a bird, exercise (even added an additional 2 mile run), and I gained 5 pounds this week. Not to mention I'm a week late and very cranky. (Nope, not pregger's unless through some religious miracle.)
Plus, other stuff left hanging apparently. :grr:

Maybe you should eat more. Your body might be slowing your metabolism down if you eat too little, which would cause you to burn fewer calories. Interesting coincidence... I'm a week late too, and in a very funky mood.

11. In the past I've had 24 inch long hair cut up to my ears out of boredom..

it's just hair... like nails, it grows back.

That time, I had had it done in an up-do with TONS of ratted curls and pounds of hairspray and I just didn't feel like washing it and combing it and untangling it, so I had it all cut off.

Right now it's mid back length and beginning to annoy me. I don't believe a short cut is in order yet, but always tempting.

I like to keep it simple and wear it up in clips or a pony tail. I've given up the hair dryer and assorted goo and gels and fixatives which has made life infinitely more simple.

Hair is just an accessory, and a good hairdresser is a GOD.

12. Mine's simple and straight

Like you I don't do the goo or curlers except for special occasions. All I usually do is wind it up and wrap it in a knot, then fasten it with a hairstick. I look awful with short hair... just awful. I used to appreciate my hairdresser, but somewhere along the way I wondered why I was bothering to pay someone to cut my hair, so I stopped. I started just maintaining a bit of layering around the front, or lately not even that... just letting it go. I like it. I think it was part of my micro-breakdown. I'm glad I didn't.

But yeah... I think I'll cut it to mid-back length.

20. My (soon to be ex-) girlfriend had long hair forever and ever...

...and a couple of her friends convinced her to get it cut short(er), and she bawled. She hated it so much. Perhaps you'd be doing the same if you had gone through with it...

At first I thought she was in initial shock, but she still hates it, and it's been a couple months. As for me, I think it looks good, but I've recently realized that I do indeed prefer long hair. Don't know why...
