2. I've never been a fan, but ...
He's really a stand-up guy, based on his recent actions. As my brother noted, he probably has some Repug fans that are not going to listen to him after this (because that's the way they are). But, he's doing what he thinks is right and that is way cool by me. So, go BRUCE!!!!!

I was dancing so goofy and I didn't care.

For my second show, I caught the vote for change concert in Philly last week.

Bruce's concerts were legendary. Everyone agreed that he left everything on the stage every night. A true man of the people.

9. I've seen Bruce 5 times
Once at the Spectrum in Philly
once at the Wachovia Center in Philly
once at the Medowlands
once at the Contenental Airlines Arena
once at the Garden

all of this in the last 6 years. Each show was damn near 3 hours and he fuckin rocked each time. I'd say the best show was at the Spectrum, he played a bunch of rare cuts there

22. Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!!!!

I've been posting that subject line too much tonight, but oh well. I'm totally emersed in this.

I'm one of the unfortunates never to have seen him in concert. He's never come close to where I live at a time when I could afford a ticket.

But, he's still Bruce, and I still love him.

28. 1st show, main pt. bryn mawr, pa 10/73....i saw the future of rock 'n roll
Edited on Mon Oct-11-04 11:46 PM by kodi
best series of shows.....tower theatre, upper darby, pa..... christmas to new years eve 1975.....6 shows....best fucking week of my life. even broke up with my girl friend because she was pissed i was going to the shows instead of out with her... he came out the last night and said "this is the last fucking time i ever play this song" and tore up the house with Thunder Road.

most interesting show....solo tour, 10/96 charlotte, nc where bruce played some mutant stand up bass singing Born in the USA & where he talked about cunnilingus for 3-4 minutes and made every woman in the small theatre squirm in their seats...then went into a kick-ass version of "red headed woman."

all told, 80 plus shows, the best tour was the river tour ('80-'81)...20 plus shows.

best moment.. charlotte, 1992.. front row seat, he leaned over the stage and looked at me and said "this one's for you, Frank"....then went into "No Surrender!" I about died right there!

last show, atlanta june 2000 caught first public performance of "41 shots"

even have a series of boots pressed on red vinyl from tapes smuggled out of a studio in germany in '76-'77 where he did some studio work when he could not record due to mike apple's law suit against him.

Bruce Springsteen and baseball are the best things America has to offer the world

38. I've seen him 3 times . . .
the first time was about 1973, when no one had ever heard of him . . . he came to our campus as one of three annual concert events . . . one of the other was Billy Joel, and I forget the third . . .

second time was in the same theater in the middle of summer in 1975 . . . even though it was in a college town that was pretty much deserted, he had liked the theater so much that he decided to open the Born to Run tour there . . . this was a few weeks before he appeared on the covers of both Time and Newsweek . . . work had gotten out, and he packed the place . . .

third time was at the Worcester Centrum in Massachusetts . . . must have been about '85 or '86 . . . part of the Born in the USA tour . . .

all three were incredible shows . . . Bruce always gives you your money's worth . . .
