I think it has something to do with the backgammon guy and the little kid. They're like yin and yang or something. Pay attention to what happens around the kid. How people can stand to watch this drivel is beyond me, but apparently they do. Somehow I envision a secluded boardroom somewhere, filled with producers, VPs, all of the honchos from major television, all gathered together with drinks in hand, asking "So, just how stupid can we make a show before America stops watching us?" So far, we haven't, for the most part, stopped watching yet. Must be all calm soothing feeling we get from having our Alpha waves stimulated, doesn't matter by what, just so long as we're soaking up that TV mush.

Look, I'm not too fond of any television show. Occasionally I watch something on one of the learning channels(History, Discovery, etc), but even they are starting to become nothing but propaganda mills. I do watch sports, football, college hoops, a little else here and there, but that is about it. I'm convinced that half this country's problems come from too many people tuning into TV too much and turning off their brain. They thus become subseptible to any and all kinds of BS entering their brain. Sorry if I'm picking on your favorite show, but I'd be just as snarky with any television show. Sorry if I'm raining on your parade, but I think it is a crime when the vast vast majority of our population hand their brain over to TV, an entity that is designed to sell you things and dish out the latest propaganda. Meanwhile over fifty million people in this country last year didn't pick up one single book. There is something wrong with our populace when they choose not to engage in critical thinking, instead handing over their brain to the boys on Madison Avenue.
