But I just downloaded the first track off the new Elliott Smith album ('Coast to Coast'). It is sublime! It is divinely inspired! It is...bittersweet. And I have a feeling the rest of 'From a Basement on the Hill' is not going to be another 'Figure 8'. Sadly, this is also probably his last release, as he died a year ago—unless his friends and family opt to release the rest of the recorded material as a seperate album or in a rarities compilation or something like that.

Poor Elliott Smith. Poor, poor Elliott Smith.
