6. The Players Chose MLB's Salary System

The salary structure of MLB is what the players (read labor) chose to have. They formed a union, went on strike, went to court, etc. to fight for free agency and the right for a laborer to negotiate their own employment terms.

Now, when you scream for salary caps, then you're in favor of owners making more money off of the players. When I spend $$$$ at Yankee stadium, then at least that I know that most of my money will go to the players, not Steinbrenner.
