What the Fag?

It was nice to see Cheney waffling over the issue of Gay Marriage. Even better when Edwards came right out and outed his daughter using the word (gasp!) gay. But then Edwards took over the waffle iron with his whole democratic talking point that he is for same sex unions but against same sex marriage. What the freak?

When are the democrats going to quit playing this game? When are they going to fess up and proclaim that they are indeed for gay marriage. That's why the donkeys look so freakin weak; they are trying to make EVERYONE happy and in the process EVERYONE ...is a bit disgruntled. Ugh! They just can't make a stand. The right can do it . Bush did. Hell, he wants to change the damn constitution for crying out loud. I am sure there are many repugs out there that are for gay marriage but they still vote Republican.

Do the Democrats really think that if they come out of the closet and proclaim that gays should have the right to be married that they will get sucker punched come november 2? I think not. I think people like decisiveness. Come on, that's the only thing that Bush has going for him: right or wrong, Bush takes a stand ....and people respect that.

Maybe this is the wrong election for that kind of idealism. Maybe Gavin Newsom really shot the Democratic party in the foot by opening up this pandora's box last february. But maybe, just maybe, the democrats need to look inside themselves and really make a play for what they see is the right thing and then let the american public decide.
