Poll question: Best tool for cleaning out my ears
Edited on Tue Oct-05-04 11:34 PM by TrogL
I hate it when I get wax in my ears. Q-tips aren't strong enough. My elbow won't fit.

3. no air tools?
What kind of a survey is this?

I've always used one of those air chisels. You know, the ones you use to split exhaust pipes when you're working on your car's exhaust system.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

5. It depends..
do you live in a swing state? If so, use a q-tip.

If not, the answer is a bit less important..

.. with a ball of plaster, cotton & band-aid. Seriously, that was one mean thing to have extracted through my ear channel by my doc a few days later.

Or better yet, try ice-cold glycerine - that'll give you a jumpstart on the day!

11. 9% Peroxide from the Beauty Supply
and regular Listerine. It will bubble for a while and feel warm. Then wash it out with a baby's ear syringe and warm water.

Q-tips are okay, but (I know this will sound stupid) don't walk around while you're cleaning your ear out with a Q-Tip or anything else. A not-so-bright friend of mine did this (you can imagine, she's walking around with her elbow stuck out) and she RAN INTO A DOOR. Yup, ruptured her eardrum. Now THAT had to hurt.
