The best freeper debate quote I have heard so far.
"I had that feeling that Kerry had the questions beforehand. He seemed to have his answers right on target. Bush seemed like he was surprised by the questions.

I wish they could investigate to see if the DNC got a hold of the questions beforehand."

A big thank you to bartcop for finding that one!

1. :-)
Yeah, God forbid that a presidential candidate should have his answers right on target! Thomas Jefferson must have had help to write the Declaration: everything was just too perfect....

10. Ummmmmm....
Not that it takes away from Kerry's performance, but Jefferson DID have help writing the Declaration of Independence. He was just one of a committee composed of himself, Franklin, John Adams, Robert Livingston, and Roger Sherman. Then his final draft went through scores of revisions by the other members of Congress before the Declaration was adopted.

But it goes to show you that sometimes it helps to have allies on your side.

...the modern day ultra right if put in a time machine and sent back to those day's, would be the one's supporting England against the colonies.

14. I know
I was referring to the low standards the freepers have for their leaders (and those who would be). Yes, Jefferson did in fact have help writing the Declaration, but I have a high-enough respect for Jefferson and his intellect that I wouldn't assume, just from reading the Declaration, that he must have had help.

2. Hm, Kerry had answers on target, Bush sounds like an idiot
and the only conclusion that dummy can't reach is that he is backing the wrong candidate.

5. humility becomes us
One of the best ways to defeat an enemy in war is to give the ground
of the first battle and then to crush them by letting them run with
their overconfidence. The BFEE will come back, and try every single
trick in the book in the coming weeks, from "affairs", to "suprise"
announcements and god knows what sort of chicanery.... not to be
underestimated, as they still have the media-ear, and can declare
the election itself a national security issue.

We must be humble and stay ready at the gate for an all-out
barbarian attack from these criminals. On november 4th, after the
recount, and after kerry's victory is certified... and frankly on
janurary 25th when i'm dead sure they've not found a reason to
avoid transferring power... only then should we be so giddy...

That said, i'm overjoyed kerry soundly trounced * in this first
engagement. We must stick to our knitting... and not get sloppy.
