Just how f$#@ked up is Fox News?
Fox Headline:
Scientists Predict Eruption at St. Helens

SEATTLE — The flurry of earthquakes at Mount St. Helens intensified further Thursday, and one scientist put the chance of a small eruption happening in the next few days at 70 percent.

USA Today Headline:
Is St. Helens ready for eruption?

SAN FRANCISCO — As Mount St. Helens keeps rumbling and shaking south of Seattle, scientists see no evidence yet that the volcano is headed for a major eruption like the 1980 disaster.

Same mountain, same day different stories. I guess the terror level wasn't high enough so Fox decided it had better come up with a new way to scare America. Fear sells and Fox knows it, the problem they are using it to re-elect a criminal.

1. anyone dumb enough to take Fox seriously
is gullible enough to believe what they are fed. My sense is they really do wish the world is a simpler place that even they can understand.

Fox is to news what Thomas Kincade is to art.

2. They must use that one discredited scientist for all their stories
the one lone sole at MIT who thinks global warming is a crock.

3. News As Fearmongering
They say "small" eruption. But, instead of reporting the facts, they focus on the eruption and not the magnitude anticipated.

Part and parcel of the conservative message. Scare the daylights out of people. Don't let them think or make up their own minds.
