In case you didn't see this
Kerry used a quote from my book in the debates.

Since he attributed it to someone else (I am fine with it) but what I wrote in my book The Religion of Bush last year on page 56 was:

And even things that are accepted such as "We had to go to war with Iraq because look what they did to the World Trade Center." is the like saying "Lets bomb China because the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor." page 56 of "The Religion of Bush"

Nevertheless Kerry destroyed Bush in the debates.

May this find everyone out there happy and well,

Vinnie

13. That's kind of you Vadem
Well I am of course cool with it --Kerry doesn't know me and a good quote is a good quote -- I am honored he would use it and acknowledge it as such no matter who he attributed it to.

4. kerry updated it, as "let's invade mexico"
which is serves his purposes politically because most americans see china as a threat to our national security, and the idea of invading china doesn't seem as insane as the idea of invading mexico. furthermore there are a ton of mexican-americans here as well.

either way, i do like the analogy. i only which kerry had hit harder with the whole point that saddam was boxed in, had no-fly zones, inspectors up to his neck, and, as it turned out, ZERO wmds. he was no threat at all.

invading iraq was the moral equivalent of shooting an unarmed man in the back. maybe he was an evil man, but nevertheless, he was unarmed.

10. I wonder if he had Eisenhower in mind.
Last night I posted how John Eisenhower's books on Pancho Villa and the Mexican-American War probably influenced his decision to support Kerry. I wonder if these two historical events are on Kerry's mind when he constructs the case against Bush.

They are, at least imo, the two closest analogies respectively to Iraq and to the war against the terrorists.

14. Hey Deb thanks
Like I said before I am honored he would use the quote no matter who he attributed it to or who may have borrowed it or someone may just be of a like mindset. Either way I hope the message gets out.

6. i think he quoted someone who paraphrased you and didn't give you props
I can't remember to whom it was attributed (he said 'Mexico') but I heard whoever it was a couple of months ago on Democracy Now! (I think).
Unfortunately it wasn't transcripted. But it was obviously someone who is well read and makes great choices in reading material! :)

7. Kerry quoted George Will on this
Perhaps George Will read your book and ripped you off, but Kerry did give attribution to the person that he heard it from.
