21. Another Brandy listener (wistful sigh):
That was playing on the car radio as I went on my first date with my first love. It evokes the scent of Wella Balsam shampoo, Ice Blue Aqua Velva and drive-in movie concession stand, a most potent combination, I assure you.

9. Hamilton, Joe Frank, & Reynolds were so cheesy...but I loved their songs.
"Don't Pull Your Love" and "Winners and Losers" were big favorites of mine in the 70's. :-)

12. Chevy Van: Sammy Johns
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 08:03 AM by Rambis
'Cause like a princess she was layin' there
Moonlight dancin' off her hair
She woke up and took me by the hand
We made love in my Chevy van
And that's all right with me

That was a great one!

15. Ariel : Dean Friedman
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 08:09 AM by Rambis
Ariel
Dean Friedman

Way on the other side of the Hudson
Deep in the bosom of suburbia
I met a young girl she sang mighty fine
Tears on my pillow and Ave Maria
Standing by the water fall in Paramus Park
She was working for the friends of BAI
She was collecting quarters in a paper cup
She was looking for change and so was I
She was a Jewish girl, I fell in love with her
She wrote her number on the back of my hand
I called her up, I was all out of breath
I said, "Come hear me play in my rock and roll band"
I took a shower and I put on my best blue jeans
I picked her up in my new V double U van
She wore a peasant blouse with nothing underneath
I said "Hi", she said, "yeah, I guess I am"
Ariel, Ariel

**hides head in embarrasment* doesn't get much CHEESIER

Magnet and Steel
- written by Walter Egan
- appears on Walter Egan's Not Shy (1978); Boogie Nights Soundtrack (1997);
Duece Bigalow soundtrack (1999)
- background vocals by Stevie Nicks
- Hit #8 on the Billboard Charts
- RIAA certification - Gold

Lyrics

Ooh ooh ah
Now I told you so you ought to know
Ooh it takes some time for a feelin' to grow
Ooh you're so close now I can't let you go
Ooh and I can't let go
For you are a magnet and I am steel

I can't hope that I'll hold you for long
Ooh you're a woman who's lost to your song
Ooh but the love that I feel is so strong
Ooh and it can't be wrong

With you I'm not shy to show the way I feel
With you I might try my secrets to reveal
For you are a magnet and I am steel
For you are a magnet and I am steel

24. Magic...Pilot...
MAGIC
Pilot

Ho, ho, ho
It's magic you know
Never believe, it's not so
It's magic, you know
Never believe, it's not so

Never been awake
Never seen a day break
Leaning on my pillow in the morning
Lazy day in bed
Music in my head
Crazy music playing in the morning light

I love my sunny day
Dream of far away
Dreaming on my pillow in the morning
Never been awake
Never seen a day break
Leaning on my pillow in the morning light

Ho, ho, ho
It's magic, you know
Never believe it's not so
It's magic, you know
Never believe, it's not so
