Post creative ideas for Halloween costumes that send political message
So, what to wear to that upcoming Halloween party? How can you have fun and be outrageous while scoring political points.

So, describe the costume, what message it would convey and what materials you would need to make it.

Let's hear the ideas DU. I know you can come up with them.

3. Teena wins.
I was going to suggest that our female DUers dress up in BDUs and spend the night giving the double-point towards people's crotches.

5. Here's something...
What about getting a white shirt and writing words all over it: like FREEDOM OF SPEECH, FREEDOM TO GATHER AND ASSEMBLE PEACEFULLY, GAY RIGHTS, etc...you get what I mean and then out of cardboard, make a huge red circle with a slash through it (think of the little gif that is a W with a red slash through it) and put it around your neck.

Kinda original, no??

Last year I was at Castro for Halloween, a couple dressed up as John & Yoko and placed a makeshift bed in the middle of the street with signs like "Give peace a chance". It was awesome.

6. how about the War 'n Peace President?
The typical two-sided costume (either left-right or back-front) portraying Bush half in a military uniform, half as a hippie? Looks ridiculous (as it should!). Be sure to make loud contradictory statements all evening.
