NYC DU'ers: Where are we watching the Debates?

we have some options..

we can watch it at a bar or at my place or someone else's apartment....

the downside to watching it at my place is:

1. 5 floor walk up

2. Small TV (our big tv broke a month ago and the tamer and i are too lazy to fix it)

3. inquisitive cats.

Let me know what you want to do...an i will be happy to host.

1. Hey -- why not my place?

I've scheduled a house party on the Kerry website as well.

We live in a house, so no walk up. We have a projector and a projection screen, and enough room for probably 15 people.

We have inquisitive cats and love-hungry dogs, though.

Also, it's on the Bronx/Yonkers border, near the last stop of 1/9.

4. It's actually not bad at all.

It's a 35 min. train ride from Times Sq, and then a 5-10 min cab ride from the stop. If you're driving, if the traffic's not bad, it takes 20-25 mins from mid town. It's actually easier than a lot of Queens or Brooklyn, and that other burrough... what's it called... Staten something.

Anyway, y'all let me know in this thread or PM me.

The Ludlow Street stop. Takes 20-25 mins from Grand Central.

I'm game for your place or another Manhattan location if we can find one. The Yonkers line would be great for me if I had the car, but the trip home on public transportation to the fringes of Queens county is more daunting on a work night than a fifth floor walk-up. What do Cassandra, Thomcat, KurtNYC and the other folks think?

Your place is easy to get to.

Anyplace along the 1/9 makes it easy for me to get home afterwards.

Or, any Bar in Manhattan works too, as long as we can find on showing the debate.

the debates? I'd like to be able to say that my place would be less than a total mess by Thursday, but it will probably still be messy. How do you all feel about mess?

Us libruls know you have better things to do than dust, straighten and polish. I'm fine with mess and was just checking out the Rocky Sullivan's website to see if the debates are on. Nothing on the website so I called and was told not to expect to see it there. That's quiz night or something or other.
