1. Never mind the weather!
Are the women hot? and if so, get the hell off the computer! Do feel free to post details. Screw that what happens in Vegas stays, etc. Details, details, details! Sorry for assuming you're male. If you're not...then for sure I want details!

5. Not my cup of tea! However, I've been here before, and I have to say
that the women are NOT hot. Neither are the men. There's a small group of both that are that work in the shows, thus their looks are dependent upon how they stay in shape. Otherwise, it's a working class town.

Go to LA for that!

3. Three words for you to have an absolute blast.....
Crazy Horse Too

(PS - Don't take a cab to the door, get out a block or so away. Let the doorman know you drove yourself and save $ on the cover charge)

Be a gentleman but enjoy yourself.

4. Question
I thought that if the cabbie brings him the cover is waived and the cabbie gets a gratuity from the place. Educate me, night gal.

11. You think the club pays out anything from their own pockets....?
Nope.

Cover charge normally goes to the cabbie, but it will come out of your pocket. Some clubs split the cover (half to cabbie) others pay it all out in order to increase traffic.

I'm just trying to help you save a few dollars that you can spend on the gals inside. Odds are you're going to walk out of there with a few spare ones in your pocket, at least one ATM receipt in your wallet, but a big smile on your face. Dont worry, the receipt will say "power company" or something similar.

...I pick up my 85-year-old father at the airport in about half an hour. The Krispy Kreme at NYNY will be my nightlife tonight!

12. Don't underestimate the real desires of the seniors......
Seriously.
With your dad at 85, you might at least mention hitting a club, even if it's only in jest. He might suprise you.

8. Try "Old Vegas" downtown late at night...
Years ago, went to the Fremont at like 3AM and was treated like a high roller, even though we were just putting down $2 and $5 bets. Lots of old folks playing quarters at the craps tables.

And if you've never tried Craps, give it a go... I find you lose your money slower that way.

15. Agree 100%
For pure gambling, "old Vegas" including the Plaza, 4 Queens, Fremont and Binions are much friendlier than the strip (unless you really ARE a HR).

The Fremont St Experience really should be seen if you're in Vegas.
Cool show and awesome technology.
Because of the crowds it draws, the police presence keeps the riff raff out.

My own personal fav for gambling and pure fun?
The Las Vegas Club on Fremont.

27. Haven't heard anything about it...the big news in today's papers
are the skyrocketing home prices. Vegas is now the 22nd highest in the country for median home prices. Used to be a cheap place to live. Not so anymore.

29. We're 16% Above What We Should Be
here in MN - it's crazy. But look at Ohio. I think the same thing will eventually happen everywhere. The bubble will burst. Property taxes will sky rocket and property values will decrease.

31. I think Real Estate is the next Enron--far too many properties
bought and controlled by agents themselves, keeping the prices artificially high and people maxed on credit to the hilt. I hope the bubble bursts before the election; people might wake up as to how bad things really are!

32. Hey, Joey!
I agree. What I try and tell people who are Bush supporters is: "If you think the economy is great and all, you just haven't been effected by things yet. But you will if Bush gets re-elected for 4 more." Fortune magazine even had an article on the real estate situation, predicting the bubble will burst, as Robert Kiyosaki ( "Rich Dad" ) says yes, too - because of the baby boomers retiring soon, etc..., pulling all of their money out of their funds, etc... I think it'll be worse than the Great Depression when it happens because of the deficit, and everything Bush is cutting funding to now.

26. Go to the Liberace Museum!
I kid you not, it's worth the trip.

It's in a strip mall, and it contains 75% of the sequins in Vegas.

Here's how to really enjoy your visit:

1. Take a friend. Later steps require at least one other person.

2. Take your time. Don't rush through the exhibits to get to the gift shop. Pay particular attention to the bicentennial hot-pants outfit. Spectacular.

3. Wait until a bus full of blue haired old ladies unloads into the museum.

4. This is the most important step in your enjoyment. With your friend, loudly work the word "gay" into your sentences.

Then watch the hilarity ensue. 'Course you might want to keep an eye on the exit, just in case.

33. Have you tried
the shrimp cocktails at Golden Gate downtown? Many have them, but only Golden Gate provides. Wish I was there too!

Oh, and don't get the 3/4 lb hot dog at Westward Ho. It's okay at first, but after a while you get diminishing returns.
