Barf alert: Vote for bush NASCAR Cup ride.
Edited on Fri Sep-24-04 06:53 PM by Norbert
Starting position: 43rd

Car No. 72

Driver: Kirk Shelmerdine

Sponsor: Vote for Bush

Car Make: Ford

Background on Kirk Shelmerdine. He is most famous for being crew chief on the Championship runs of Dale Earnhardt in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He quit the Richard Childress Team and Earnhardt drove for in the late 1990s to resume his driving career. He has most recently ran a limited schedule on the Nextel Cup circuit.

For all that knows little of nothing about NASCAR racing, 43rd starting position IS dead last. This is indicative of his performance in the highest level of racing. The vote for bush sponsorship possibly may not even be a sponsor but a preference by the team in leiu of lack of badly needed sponsorship. My opinion aside of this latest twist in Shelmerdine, he was silly for quiting the best team in racing to take up driving again.

3. One other note. They are racing at Dover, Delaware
Sorry, Kirk. Delaware is going blue, no doubt about it.

4. no worries.. shelmardine will have blown his engine or wrecked..
by lap 20. But what really pisses me off, is that months ago I sent an email off to the Kerry people suggesting that he do this very thing. Even provided them with a design of mine, and told them they could have it, gratis.

5. I like your design
Unfortunately some of the NASCAR fans are not the most open minded bunch out there. These are some of the same fans pelted Jeff Gordon at Talledega with full cans of beer after he won. Dover, Delaware may be friendlier confined but it only takes one drunken idiot with something in his hand.

7. Bush and Shelmerdine deserve each other
Get out your dictionary. Turn to the N section.

When you get to "non-driving mother-fucker," you'll find Kirk Shelmerdine's picture.
