Terrible Week AGAIN!!!
My work life is driving me crazy. I work for a sales organization. I'd like to say a sales team but there really is no team. Back stabbing, sneekiness, underhanded deals, bad mouthing of co-workers goes on every single day. I have gone thru 7 managers in 7 years. I have gone thru 3 take-overs. The current manager is the eight. The each come in and talk a big talk about changing things but none of them have lasted long enough to do anything productive just more damage. My take is the staff is so screwed up and demented that we keep running them out. I have been here 7 in various position but have only been in sales since Jan. My previous position was eliminated when a new organization took over and I was offered the sale job. I was very hesitant about taking it do to the office dynamics or lack there of. I attempted to try to find another job during the fall of last year but after 3 months of sending resume out and not even a rejection letter I took the sales position. I'm not a slacker, dumb, stupid or uneducated. I have a 4 year degree. The area I live in is not the best for decent paying jobs, but I can't move just yet do to a daughter in school and elderly parents. Has soon as that option is right I am out of here. I just couldn't afford to go on unemployment and pay my bills. So here I am yes it is good I have a job but my co-workers will stab me in the back with a smile on their face!!

Thank God it is Friday and I am home having a drink. I am already counting the hours until I have to return on Monday.

Another rant!!!

6. I know it sounds pat, but
You could volunteer an evening or weekend for your local Democratic campaign office. It makes my week every moment I can do it!

7. Thought about
I'm a little worried I take out all my frustrations on some poor ignorant * supporters and give the Kerry campaign a bad name!!

8. Or, you could covert a few.
I just like being in a "work environment" (sort of) where everyone is trying to elect Kerry. Wonderful. Cathartic.

9. Yes
That maybe nice to actually work with others to achieve the same goal, instead of unermining each other!

10. So sorry for you
I've been at stressful workplaces, so I know what you mean. I hope things get better. One thing I would suggest is that you learn quickbooks in your spare time. It is the small business industry standard, and there seems to be a demand for people who can run it. Nice to have a backup strategy if you need it.

And welcome to DU!
