1. I slept through a large part of a Little Feat show at Armadillo World HQ

in Austin in the summer of 73. Too many pitchers of Shiner Beer. Inexcusable. I saw them several times relatively consciously, however. Man, I miss Lowell George.

We did see the current Little Feat at the Taste of Colorado festival a couple of weeks ago and they put on a great show, still. See them if you get a chance.

2. Metallica
but apparently I did do a balcony dive. At least that's what they told me.

This was early 80's small club Metallica. They suck now.

3. Not me
I saw Pink Floyd on their last (ever?) tour. The guy sitting in front of me passed out half way through the show. They will probably never tour again and this guy decides to get hammered and sleep. Nice. "That was the greatest show I never saw."

No pictures to prove it though. :)

I did my share back when I was in my early 20's... And your share... And his share... And about half of her share.

6. Pink Floyd, Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour, Cotton Bowl, Dallas, 1988
I was perfectly ok when I got there, but the pot plus the old hippie couple next to us passing us that big flask of vodka kind of did me in. I remember it was a FANTASTIC concert.

I think. I'm pretty sure.

I found out years later my aunt and uncle were there, several rows behind me. We never saw each other, thank God.

7. don't know if it was great because I passed out.......
Grateful Dead.

Although some joker thought I had OD'd and stomped my foot to revive me while holding a popper under my nose.

Too much Southern Comfort and homegrown makes own weary. }(

I finally came around toward the last half of Aerosmith and could see a little dot of light, I started screaming I can see them and pointing, my boyfriend picked me up, turned me about a quarter turn, pointed down to the band and yelled, theres the band.

11. Judas Priest
Not me (really! I was the DD) but my buddy in high school.

When I picked him up he staggered out of his house smoking a cigarette. I knew we were in trouble right then because he doesn't smoke. We didn't even make it out of town when he rolled down the window, leaned out and puked all over the side of the car. It's my mom's car, so I'm like, greeaaat...I pull into a gas station with my buddy still handing out the window and ask the attendant if he has a hose I can use to wash the puke off the car. The attendant looks at my buddy, looks at me and just shakes his head. OK so no hose. We get back on the road, my buddy still hanging out the window. It starts to rain, which is good because it washes the puke off the car, but my friend spends most of the two hour ride hanging out the window in the rain.

Finally we make it to the show and pull into a parking garage. The attendant asks, "Is he alright?" "Sure, he's fine." I say. Park the car, roll my buddy into the backseat. "We're going in, ya wanna come?" Mumble, mumble, moan. "No, we're here. We're going into the show. You coming?" Mumble, mumble, moan. "OK, don't puke in the car."

Two hours later.

We get back to the car. He's soundly passed out in the back. He wakes up as we pile in. Hunh...wha...Ok, I'm ready, let's go." "Ahhh...dude, the shows over. We're going home." "Wha?! Bullshit!" "No really, we're going home now."

Turns out that he drank most of a bottle of Jack all by himself. He later tapped his unused ticket to the empty bottle as a memento of "the best concert he never saw."
