19. You are close, but:
Also known as Fuity Yummy Mummy from 1988 to 1990. Technically, General Mills never classified him as one of the "monster cereals." Interesting.. um.. kind of...

22. Quisp was it!
Up until recently, it was available without the "logo" as a Quaker Bagged Cereal...look for "Quaker Sweet Crunch" at your store for a blast from your past. I haven't seen it on store shelves (bins?) lately, and I have read on the net somewhere that Quaker is re-releasing it as Quisp in "test markets" (Indiana and Illinois were mentioned), as Quaker has supposedly bought the rights to the Quisp character from it's creator, Jay Ward Productions.

Hammies!

ETA: We weren't allowed to eat anything with "Sugar" or "Honey" in the name, or anything with mini marshmallows. We ate Life, Kix and Raisin Bran for the most part.

46. That pic tickled my brain ...
Is there a blueberry version of that cereal? I remember a cowboy character that looked just like him, riding a blueberry (yes, he was RIDING a blueberry) while herding other blueberries, and he was singing a song that went something like this, "Git along, little blueberry critters, git along ...."

Okay, I'm just nuts. Lock me away!

(the 1960's, NOT the 1860's!), cereal was a luxury! When your mother is perpetually sick, there's no money for that kind of frippery.

25. Crispy Critters!
The one and only cereal that comes in the shape of animals.

And Kellogg's OKs, kind of their answer to Cheerios.

My mom bought a wide selection: Cheerios, Wheaties, Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies.

Sugared cereals, though, got inhaled the minute she got home from the store, so we didn't get them too often.

But when we did, they were sugared, dammit! Sugar Smacks. Sugar Pops. Sugar Frosted Flakes.

Now I eat mostly Shredded Wheat and Oatmeal Squares.

28. The old dull stuff, oatmeal, corn flakes and cream of wheat.
Well I am old and we had a thing about sitting down and eating together. We did always have fresh juice oranges done in front of us and the coffee was always hand ground by my father. We also had to be able to eat an egg, soft boiled from an egg cup. I do not think I could do that to day.

Corn Flakes
Shredded Wheat
Puffed Wheat (in the jumbo economy bag)
Rice Krispies
Cheerios
Life
Shreddies
Honeycomb or Alphabits for special treat

They were all good after i added 3 or 4 tablespoons of sugar. Sugarlicious!

There was some other kind of cereal (short lived perhaps) that i loved but can't remember the name of...
they were square with a hole in the middle and made of brown stuff kinda squished together. might have had crunch in the name. they were deeeeefuckinglicious!

38. Cheerios, Life, mini-wheats...
Nothing too sugary or artificial, except when we were on vacation. When my grandfather died, we inherited seven half-eaten boxes of sugary cereal -- he loved the stuff, had a different cereal for each day of the week. My grandmother wouldn't touch it and gave it to us.

I acquired a bit of a taste for Berry Berry Kix in college.

Now, if I eat cereal at all, it's hot five-grain stuff with a little brown sugar thrown in, and sometimes mini-wheats or something similar if I'm in a particular mood.
