Can someone tell what the "gungeon" is?
I've seen people post about it. What is it? And what makes it scary? Just a newbie question here..

1. It's the Justice/Public Safety Board
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 10:22 AM by CO Liberal
Gun issues are discussed there, and gun-related stories posted on other boards are usually moved there.

What makes it a scary place is that wacko disruptors find their way there quite often - people who can hardly be trusted with anything sharper than a crayon, and they're gun owners.

BTW - welcome to DU!!! :hi:

4. As well

It is full of "wacko disruptors find their way there quite often - people who can hardly be trusted with anything sharper than a crayon, and they're" full of hate for anybody who thinks democrats have a right to own guns as well.

Just making fun of COLiberal's hate mongering.

6. I'm Not Hate-Mongering
I'm simply stating a fact - that many of the gun owners who have come and gone from the J/PS board are downright scary.

5. Some people don't want to live in a fascist police state

But those who do are very vocal about the need for everyone to bow down before big brother and thank god nobody can stand up to the brownshirt fascists running this country.

The worhship of authority is a sickness perpetuated by weaklings who are afraid to get off their knees. Sadly, these people are enabling the brownshirts in this country.

You will also notice that the most rabid of anti-gun partisans are also defenders of the unconstitutional Patriot Act as well as the constant surveillance of every man, woman, and child in the country.
They also portray anybody and everybody who owns a gun, whether you are a duck hunter, like to shoot skeet, or you've just had your grandfathers old 30-30 handed down to you, as a crazy racist wacko.

If there were a reasonable effort to duscuss the issues without hate mongering the "gungeon" would be just another place to post, but alas that will not happen.
