Poll question: How Much Money Do You Make?
Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 07:01 PM by mark414
I have a feeling we have a broad diversity on incomes here on the board...don't feel the need to share your name or anything, just vote.

How much money do you earn?

on edit: please kick every so often

1. Yet, at great financial sacrifice, I had these buttons made
in hopes of raising money for MoveOnPac.

9. I just got a new job last week
And jumped from that first category to the next. I wanna know where the category for 'unemployed' is... 'cause we've both been in that one in the last year, too...

10. Most jobs around here are advertised under $30,000
Well, usually an hourly figure is given. I have not seen any jobs advertised above $60,000. I suppose most good jobs are given through the hidden job market. That means you only can get a good job around here if you have rich friends or parents or have a MD or law degree.

16. Not enough
to pay for the yearly increase in health insurance.

I get a piddly 2% raise every year and by the time our insurance premiums go up, I end up bringing home LESS money than I did the year before.

20. I make $12 an hour and work 44 hours a week.
That's $552 a week, or $28,704 a year. That may not sound like much to some of you, but it's more than enough for a lifelong bachelor with a roommate!

21. Bet there's more closer to 31 kilobucks than 65 kilobucks...
I have had a 2% salary increase in the last 2 years.
I'm starting to have trouble paying my bills. stuff like heat, phone, insurance, car payment....

The fucking song remains the fucking same. 4 years of damn ReTHUGlicans, and "prosperity" goes right down the fucking toilet.

well, at least I didn't have to sell my house to eat...Wait...I LOST my house!

I "volunteer" here at my job 50-60 hrs/wk

The wife takes home the paycheck. The store can't afford to pay us both.

26. I'm in the 31k-65k range
But that's only because I work two full-time jobs. Otherwise I'd fall into the next lower bracket. That's pretty lame for my education and experience. I can't wait until I get my MLS.

Maybe if I had a job where I screwed people instead of helping them I could have voted "I'm a millionaire" instead.

27. None Of Your Business !!! - *My Mom Told Me To Say That*
:silly:

I've been steadily moving DOWN the career ladder for the past several years. Was making over $70,000 and living in S.F. Moved for a better job (working conditions) making over $40,000 in Sacramento. Got laid off after 9\11 and was job hunting for 14 months after running out my savings, 401k, and unemployment benefits.

NOW... I have 3 jobs and make well under $30,000 a year.

Believe me when I say, that voting against Bush, for me, is personal!!!

:grr::nuke::mad:

30. Seems the "I'm a millonaire" category
doesn't fit the question. I mean you can make bewteen $130-300K AND be a millionaire. Or make over $300K and be a millionaire. Being a milionaire is a measure of one's wealth (how much do I have) instead of measure of one's income (how much do I make).
