Anyone here from Georgia?
I live in Mexico, but will be in Brunswick Georgia beginning on Sept 28..to close on a house on the 1st of October...we will be in Georgia until after the election. My husband and I are reg to vote in Florida..and can go there to vote, but would like to reg and vote in Georgia. Anyone know the cut of day in Georgia to register to vote? Also, if anyone knows the address and phone number of the Democratic Headquarters in Brunswick..that would be great to know..in advance if..if someone just happens to know it or lives in Brunswick. thanks!!!

2. My hometown, I don't live there anymore, I am glad sucks. It does
have beaches near by it is coastal, but that is about the only good thing about it. Typical small Georgia Town. I am starting to come the conclusion that nothing about Georgia is any good. Nuke Atlanta too. Democratic Headquarters in Brunswick? From what I know may not be any there. Sorry to put a damper on your move but just telling you the facts. But Hey Kerry now has two people voting for him in Glynn County perhaps the whole state. Brunswick is near St. Simons and Sea Island a very rich community. So it is very, Very, Repug.

6. Brunswick
we do not plan to live in the little house in Brunswick...only about 2 mos out of every year..our "real" home is in Mexico. I bought a little..and i do mean little...ha..house on stonewall st in mid town brunswick. The total cost of the house was $24,000...so that gives u an idea of its level of handy man specialness..hehehehehehe! This area was chosen since it is about half way between where my daughter lives in SC and my son lives in Fla. and will give us a place to stay when we are in the USA for a few monthes each year. We do plan to cover our new yard with Kerry/Edwards signs...we will be the only white folks living anywhere in that part of town..and i did ask the neighbors if they were OK with that..they said no problem "honey"..you are living in the south now...ha! Hopefully our neighbors are not among the repuks..or they may change their mind about us real fast. Anyway..thanks for the info and the help and for taking the time to answer my post and question.

3. Voter Registration Information
The deadline for registering in Georgia is Monday, October 4th. If you register by mail, you need to have some kind of documentation providing proof of address. Here are some links and phone numbers to get you started. Maybe you can stop by the Board of Elections on Tuesday, September 28th (my birthday, btw) and see if you can register. You can call ahead to see if the contract of sale is enough proof of address.
