he spoke at my school today and then opened it up for questions.

i asked him how he could justify accepting large amounts of financial etc. support from republicans. i made the analogy that it's like teaming up with hell's minions in order to take on the devil.

while he believed that i was a very progressive individual, that i was falling into the lie that the democrats were throwing out there. then followed it up with his usual "the democrats are out to get me" bit

i prefaced my question by saying that i agreed with pretty much everything he said, and that i lose sleep at night over the prospect of another 4 years of bush (which i do), but i also said that i'm afraid that with another 4 years of bush, all these great things we talk about will NEVER be a reality

I can't imagine Ralph can get anywhere near the size of crowds he used to get, like back in 2000. Too many of us ex-supporters pissed off about how horribly wrong we were to fall for the "Tweedle-Dee, Tweedle-Dumb" bullshit (speaking of lies).

Unfortunately, I think he's too far gone into the same fantasy realm in which his current supporters dwell to realize what the vast majority of liberals and progressives think about his "strategy".

I had an Anthropology TA back when I was in college tell a story about seeing him walking around muttering to himself. She (the TA)was at a conference where Nader's sister was one of the speakers (Nader's sister is in anthropology). This was in 2001. I was still a semi-supporter back then, but I couldn't help but believe it. He's always been eccentric, for one thing. I'm sure he's doing a lot more muttering to himself these days.

I am in a political science course so we've studied the candiates including Ralph and Ralph at first talked about increase in poverty and other things these past four years ago but then he said that this isnt a dangerous time for a nation. God, really I cant understand his motives.

stinks, I really didnt get that when he said that, I was like ok Ralph you know there's all these problems with our country yet you unlike most of the other lefties out there don't realize that this is one of the most dangerous times in our history. What also freaked me out was the somewhat chummy friendship Michael Bardanik and David Cobb had, I nearly puked when Bardanik said "Health care isnt a right"
