Movies that definately WON'T get you affection....
I don't think any man has gotten a good night kiss after taking a girl out to see either Showgirls, Herbie, or Bladerunner

11. True, off-topic, story about "The 5th Element"
I went to see this at the movie theater with my brother-in-law and my father-in-law.

Apparently I had the flu, because halfway through the movie I had to run into the bathroom and throw up.

Those 5 minutes puking in the men's room were far more enjoyable than the movie.

I think Cold Mountain would be a nice movie, because I liked it, it was a nice romantic movie. When Billy Batts what he has coming to him to the background of Donovan's "Atlatnis", yes I have to admit I was rather amazed, wayyyyyyyyyy dowwwwwwwwwwwn bellllllllllllow the occccccccccccean, looooooooook upppppppp. Man I love that song :D.

27. A girlfriend walked out on the movie, though not on me.
}( I wonder how common that was? It was too much, at least at the time? It wasn't like I'd insisted we hold hands and watch Faces of Death together  .

18. "In The Company Of Men"
To be honest, the movie didn't surprise or shock me all that much -- I knew what shits human beings could be. Everybody in that movie, including the so-called victim, was a shit. It didn't make me feel bad about men so much as about human nature, but I'm essentially fairly cynical, so I guess it only had so much impact on me.

Mr. Nownow, however, said he had a hard time looking me in the eye for a couple of hours after we saw it. We were still 'just dating' at the time, and nobody 'got any' that night!

My forst date with the soon-to-be-former Mrs. Amok was to see "From Dusk Till Dawn", and I still got me some.

Of course, we *are* divorcing, so maybe it began there...

24. Barton Fink
Videodrome, Crash, damn, I wish I could think, but my mind doesn't work too well at this hour.

I might be odd, but what's wrong with Bladrunner?

Perhaps I'm odd, but I find anything with Vin Deisel or Tom Cruise a turn off.

Of course, in this case the men would be running from the women, particularly after the acupuncture/torture scene! ;-)
