I just spent 2 hours standing along side the Concord Pike in Wilmington remember those who have died for us in Iraq and protesting for peace.
About 90% of the people who drove past us honked their horns but like every protest I've been to there is always a small portion screaming their assinine statements: "You need to get a job"
So I think I want to make this my new campaign sign:
I probably make more money than you and I'm still against this war
...the last guy that yelled that at me was driving a beatup truck with smoking coming out of the tailpipe. If he was making even half of what I make he'd probably have a decent little vehicle to drive
I just think there's way too much emphasis placed on money in the US, and somehow it justifies the worth of people somehow. Maybe it should say "I have such a good job that I can protest, and I'm still against the war" Just my 2 cents.
