American Society Class: FREEPED!

There is this ridiculous girl in my American Society class.

I'm not going to go into too many details, because between her and this other looney freeper, it's just too much. But yesterday, this one guy goes:

"If Bush tells the truth, which he is, the Democrats will just attack him on it, so there's no point in telling the truth!"

My teacher quickly jumped down his throat for being an ass, then he tried to defend himself like this:

"Bush doesn't need to tell the truth! If he does, nobody's going to listen anyway, it'll just bore everyone!"

My teacher, completely agape, just kinda laughed, my friend got up and walked out of the class he was laughing so hard. I cringed, then started laughing.

Psycho freeper girl kicked in at this point "CLINTON NEVER TOLD THE TRUTH!!" My teacher goes "Well, I'm not defending Clinton, so this has nothing to do with that." Realizing she's not getting under his skin, she readjusts her focus "FDR lied constantly! None of that crap he did fixed the depression! It took a war to get us out of the depression."

My turn.

"Oh please!!! That's ridiculous, FDR may have wanted us in the war, but the war wasn't the only way to get us out of the depression."

"Well this war is pulling us out of a recession!!"

"No it isn't, but back to what you're saying 'the only way out of economic hardship is through war, so you're advocating we start a war every time the economy starts to slip, rather than reevaluate our own economic situation."

"YES!"

My buddy left the room laughing again...

The teacher "That's just nonsense..."

The girl "I KNOW WHAT MY HISTORY TEACHER TAUGHT ME!!! I PASSED THE AP EXAM!!! I'M NOT SOME RETARD!! I KNOW MY FACTS!!!"

Teacher "I'm definetly not saying you're retarded, you are just not evaulating things in the proper way, I can tell you're very passionate..."

"I'M NOT SOME RETARDED LIBERAL! ALL LIBERALS SHOULD BE INSTITUTIONALIZED!! THEY'RE CRAZY!!"

I'm laughing at this point, my teacher goes "liberals like John Locke? Cause I know you love him."

"NO! LIBERALS LIKE THAT SOCIALIST JOHN KERRY! ANYONE WHO WANTS TO VOTE FOR HIM IS INSANE! I'M NOT GIVING THE GOVERNMENT MY HARD EARNED MONEY TO HAVE IT BE WASTED BY HIM!"

"okay...back on to how American society is manipulated by a string of corporate media interests..."

End of discussion. She FLIPPED! I loved it. It was probably the most ridiculous thing ever. Republicans in the class go to me after the class "I think I'm votin' for Kerry now if that's who's on my side. She gives all Republicans a bad name."

Me, not wanting to come off like a jaded liberal, knowing damn well that's how most Republicans are, I said "well, we're happy to have you over here at the Kerry camp. We try not to rant and rave like that, it's not very becoming of a political discourse."

I loved it.
