2. Is this your first time watching it?

If so, then you should check out some of the other (non-anime) shows on Adult Swim. Harvey Birdman, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Brak Show, and, to a lesser extent, the Venture Brothers. The Venture Brothers just started a month or so ago, so they're still getting into the groove.

3. i'm still trying to understand it

sometimes it's funny, other times it makes no sense...I vaguely remember reruns of the original sealab 2020 (early 80s), and as a kid i thought it was kinda weak in comparision to other H-B cartoons at the time...maybe it will grow more on me

because it really doesn't make any. Shows on Adult Swim (the 15 minute ones anyway) are just random bits of comedy. Just turn your brain off and laugh. It's not funny if you try to figure it out.
