1. What types of music are you into?

Once I know that, I'm sure I can recommend some V.A. comps. After all, I own hundreds of them!

2. You seem to be my musical alter ego, NT!
Just about all of it, actually.

Love the R&B of the '70s, jazz vocalists, Cole Porter, etc. Though I love rock I don't care for it in the car. I love Latin music, esp. jazz.

3. If you mean "store bought" ....
"Saturday Morning Fever"
Your favorite alt-rock musicains doing covers of Saturday morning cartoon themes.

"A Testemonial Dinner - The Songs of XTC"
Sarah McLachlan's verison of 'Dear God' is phenominal. And XTC does an unreleased on it under the name "Terry & the Lovemen" (XTC fans will get that name).

"Beyond the Wildwood A Tribute to Syd Barrett"
Wild compilation cover of early Pink Foyd and solo stuff. Got it on cassette - having it transferred to CD.

4. meegbear!
Two of my favorite comp discs: "Saturday Morning Fever" and "Testimonial Dinner".

May I also suggest -

"Right To Chews" - alt-rock artists covering bubblegum songs.
And the "Pop Under The Surface" series - power pop from around the world.

Faster and Louder: Harcore Punk Vol 1

9. Surprisingly enough, I like old school punk.
And I was VERY post-piunk for awhile. Blonde is not the only unnatural color I have had on my hair!

12. "Help"
War Child benefit album put together in the late '90s by all the Brit-popsters.

Terry Hall ("Dream a Little Dream of Me"), Radiohead, Oasis, Sinéad O'Connor ("Ode to Billy Joe!"), Terrorvision, Charlatans, Portishead, Massive Attack, Stereo MCs, etc., etc.

A remarkably cohesive album for all the different stuff on it.
