I have my first job interview in five years (been at home totally for just over 3). I've have on my dress and heels (as opposed to my usually shorts and t-shirt mom attire) and I'm looking quite professional here. It's for a social service type job assisting young parents with community resources and parenting skills. (At least it will keep me from having to teach :crazy: little ones again if I get it.) It's not my first choice (so hopefully one of the others will call), but it's not too bad either. The money's not super great, but doable enough to begin to move forward in regard to other things in my life for the next couple of years and great benefits.

Wish me luck this morning. Usually, I make a good impression for job interviews, but I need all the good karma I can get regardless. :D

It went very well (I always seem to be charming :) and quick on my feet for this stuff somehow) and the position's more flexible time-wise than I thought. Flexible enough that I should be able to get through my one day a week of nursing school clinicals next year if I get it (plus tuition reimbursement as well as one of the benefits) and my credentials and past work experience are more optimal for the position than I thought they were. I have to go to a couple of meetings for stages 2 and 3 of the process later this week and next week, but so far so good. :bounce:
