1. Nay
Christian rock disquised as mainstream AAA. Plus the lead singer's voice is terrible.

4. I dunno - not bad live
Definitely fun, but not exactly what you'd call deep...

But better than 90% of the Crapola out there. Gimmie Polyphonic Spree over some madison ave hip hop sellout anyday...

8. My thoughts exactly
Here's how the battle royale would play out in my head:

Polyphonic Spree vs. Britney Spears - WINNER: Polyphonic Spree
Polyphonic Spree vs. 50 Cent - WINNER: Polyphonic Spree
Polyphonic Spree vs. Amy Rigby - WINNER: Amy Rigby

They're happy, upbeat, and seem to have a good soul in a collective sense. But it doesn't necessarily mean I'm gonna run out and buy their music.

Two years down the line, though, who knows?

5. yeah, I thought nay at first
but after a while, it looks like they are different from most of the crap out there. So while they are still not great, at least they are originial.

Yeah, when I first saw them on the VMAs I almost puked. They looked like a religious cult.

6. It's musical vomit
Absolutely terrible, and very overrated. Just because you have 40 instruments doesn't mean you have to play them all at the same time.

9. Even though they hail....
... from the Dallas area (where I live), and I'm a huge fan of progressive, original, and interesting approaches to pop music, I have to give them the big thumbs down.

Their music is a perfect example of a great idea that fails in execution due to a complete lack of any artistic vision. They reduce the sound/technique to a gimmick. Basically, they suck.

This is a great idea an "2004 UP WITH PEOPLE"

But, I can't get past the singer's voice. He's X somebody.
