to Christopher's birthparents, who are both wonderful and courageous people and who will remain a strong part of Chris's life. They've given him their own name - which I won't post here for confidentiality's sake - so, even when he officially becomes Christopher John when we finalize the adoption in a few months, he will always know the connection he has to them.

He'll squall when he's hungry and when we change the gauze on his circumcision, but that's been it so far. He looks like Mr. Magoo when he occasionally screws up his face in frustration at it all. Newborn existentialism. :)
