So I ran into some Bush/Cheney campaign workers outside of Target...
and of course today is the day I wore my "Kerry/Edwards 2004: For A Stronger America" shirt I got from a rally in Vegas (for the record I live in Southern California - Orange County to be more specific).

I was with my mom and sister and brother and we saw a table set up in front of Target. We all took turns guessing what it was for, but we didn't need to when we saw the "Bush/Cheney" signs posted all over it. A young woman was working the table, and as my mom passed by, she asked, "Are you a registered voter? Would you considering registering to re-elect our President?" And my mom just automatically replies, "Unless is the table where you can register to impeach that moron, I want no part." The lady was kind of shocked, and shot the biggest scowl in my direction when she saw my shirt. It was hilarious. Then when we came out of the Target another Kerry/Edwards supporter was yelling at them and trying to get the Target people to get them out of there. It was interesting. :-)

11. Yep. Costco
Shop Costco, boycott Target, WalMart, Coors, and any other corporate supporter of *

The owners of Costco gave big $$ to Kerry's campaign, and they support local Dem campaigns too.

7. another campaign worker and I did voter registration at Target today.....
in Pasadena (Southern California). We did not identify ourselves as Democrats or Kerry campaign and we registered all who wanted to be registered.

I did have the feeling many of our registrants somehow guessed or assumed we were Democrats. When some of them made it clear they were voting for Kerry, we did give them business cards with info and address for our local Democratic headquarters.

Those republicans who wanted to register republicans only, are stingy and selfish jerks who don't care about our nation or our democracy.

9. I don't know what California law says
but here in Virginia you can't register voters and campaign at the same table. Voter registration has to be non-partisan and there has to be a separation from campaign activity. Been there, done both.

10. Same in Illinois.
And you have to register anyone who asks, whether they are a Democrat or Republican.
