An Indie film, of ok quality, pretty much strictly after-school movie material though.

It was the story of an Iraniam family that had come to America and lived here for a while, then had a cousin who had been active in the revolution come here to go to school, right before the hostage crisis.

What made it worthy of note, was the archival news footage of the crowds and such screaming to bomb Iran, etc. The images of people attacking Iranians who were protesting the US harboring the Shah and demanding he be returned to Iran for trial. They showed people attacking, beating, and repeatedly kicking Iranian demonstrators outside the hospital where the Shah was being treated.

I saw that, and I immediately thought of freepers. Then I thought of how they label anti-war protestors as being violent, etc. I also thought of the fact that considering the behavior of those types of people immediately post 9/11, we, as a nation, haven't learned a goddamned thing in the ensuing decades.

Anyway, though I wouldn't call it an excellent film, I would call it a good film and recommend it. The story is okay, but the archival news footage alone makes it worth watching.
