Does anyone know what's wrong with RFK, jrs' voice?

He sounds horrible. I have read many of his writings and it is quite apparent that he inherited his father's intelligence, insight and passion but his spoken voice sounds like a cross between Truman Capote and Charlie Rangle.

I am certainly not bashing or judging by outward appearances, but I would love to have him run for something sometime but with that voice it just ain't ginna happen.

Did he have an illness or accident or something?
