I absolutely cannot convince my father that the media isn't liberal
Does anyone have any resources I can use to prove that it is either unbiased or, better yet, has a conservative bent? Thanks!

5. "What Liberal Media" by Eric Alterman
It's the best examination of this issue. We actually used it for one of my college classes.

6. read him this & ask if it makes more sense than calling the media liberal
“The major media are large corporations, owned by and interlinked with even larger corporations, they sell a product to a market. The product they sell is the popular viewer, their customers are the corporations that buy advertising, and the picture of the world represented reflects the narrow and biased interests and values of the sellers, the buyers, and the product. Profits and the issues drive the media and items reported are for the financial benefit of the companies that own these enterprises. The fact that the posing of the information delivered is not for the benefit of the people, as we would define the presses role is obvious. No issues will be debated or given much play that make the audience, advertisers or press them uncomfortable, regardless of its value to the nation and its people.”

8. liberal media
You could point out that NBC is owned by General Electric, one of the biggest defense companies around. Ask him how many bleeding heart, pinko, liberal Defense contractors he's run across.

10. In my experience...
it's a hopeless argument. I've had the liberal media/conservative media argument with family, friends, and co-workers. No one has yet changed anyone's mind. It appears to be way too subjective and in the eye of the beholder to be susceptible to "proof" to someone who already has a firm opinion on the subject.

11. for print media
show him the business section of the local daily paper and ask him to show you the labor section of the same paper.

Business section covers issues important to corporate ownership
labor section would (if any existed) cover issues important to workers.
