1. From the Latest Page
go to Options/Profile and put a link to the picture in the Sig field.

2. Add an image URL to your signature line
All you need to do is add an image URL* to your signature line, in the same form where you changed your avatar. (Options->Edit your profile)

* Just type the URL for your image file, starting with http:// (and ending with the filename)

5. Not quite, that's the URL for the page
You need the URL for the image. To get this, right click on the image and find the option for "View Image". Click that, and you should see just the image in the window.

Select the URL and copy it. Then you can just paste that into your sig line.

In this case it would be:

8. Go to "LOBBY," and click on "FAQ." I think you have to have 1,000
Edited on Sun Aug-29-04 10:47 PM by TexasSissy
posts to use the lookup table that DU provides. In this e-mail reply I'm writing to you, above the "subject" line is a link for a "Smilies lookup table" that DU provides. I click on it, and then I can click on a smiley face that I want. But I did not have that option until I hit my 1,000th post, I think.

As far as having an "avatar" (that picture in the upper left corner of people's posts that they choose to have on ALL their posts), you select that by going to "LOBBY," logging in, then clicking on your profile. There will be a space for you to choose an Avatar in your personal profile sheet.

As far as putting special pictures in posts, that is explained in "FAQ." I don't do that 'cause it takes too much effort. But basically, you cannot download it from your pc. You have to first download your selected pic to a universal site that lets folks download pictures (someone gave me the link for one), which turns the pic into an url, and you can then put it into your post from there. That is all explained in the "FAQ."

Well, the above is for special pics you have saved, not for urls in other websites, which it seems may be what you're asking about. Never mind.

12. I can use the lookup table fine
I think it may just be a coincidence that they added the lookup table feature just about when you hit 1,000 posts. Either that or they just decided to make it available to all.
