In some ways it seems like the fire situation could turn out good
Edited on Sun Aug-29-04 02:13 PM by noahmijo
I was just as mad as anyone when i saw that, but seeing how the crowd was cool when the cops asked them so just back away from it and stay put while it gets under control, then to hear the people cheer on the cops trying to put it out and the FDNY it shows the viewers that those who oppose Bush support the FDNY and NYPD which goes completely against the image that Neo-Cons want people to have of liberals.

On the other hand I want whoever is responsible for that fire to get their asses handed to them, overall it's a bullshit thing that didn't need to happen and now there's evidence that we got some loonies in the crowd whose only agenda is to stir shit up.

2. I'd rather it hadn't happened
But it sure turned out good. The NYPD and NYFD are true professionals. :yourock:

3. Did you see that one guy with the backpack who was arrested?
He walked off coolly and calmly ... I'll be you won't see Faux news talking about that.

4. I saw signs
supporting the police and firefighters in the crowd. Glad to know they also showed vocal support and were cool about following orders so that they could get the fire out.

Has anyone heard more details about the fire-how it started or if anyone got hurt?
