Poll question: Would you spend any money on a gaydar detector?
Would you want to know who is a homo?

5. Hypno
I already have gaydar. I have no idea why I have it or how I got it, but I am within 99% accuracy every time.

That being said, I realized the other day I don't have any gay friends in real life (non-Internet-based). That bothers me. I want gay friends! Why don't I have any???

7. I actually sort of wish

that everyone, hetero, homo, and other, would all find some
nice closets to crawl back into. I really don't care about
who others are or want to sleep with and I sure don't want to
hear about the details.

Sorry.

8. the problem is
if you are hetero you can live your hetero life openly. You can hold hands in public, kiss (as long as you aren't sitting there frenching each other to death, LOL!), introduce each other appropriately, etc.

homosexuals can't always do that. In fact, there are very few places they can.

that's why I think we shouldn't be telling people to go back into the closet. If you are hetero you never HAD to be in any closet. Kinda unfair, don't you think?

If you don't care about people's sexuality or jokes about it (which this thread kind of it), then don't read stuff about it.

10. I don't care who is holding hands or kissing

I just don't like the conversations that start out "I nailed
him/her blah blah blah". And yes, I don't have to read this
thread or others which are in a sexual joking nature... however
I don't mind that in the abstract at all.

But the start of this thread was "Don't you want to know who is
gay or straight"... and my answer is no, I really don't. I'm
happy for them whatever their orientation and whatever the amount
of activity they engage in. I just don't want to hear the details.

9. So you don't like it when co-workers put up pics of their spouses?
Edited on Sat Aug-28-04 05:23 PM by HypnoToad
So you don't like it when you see a man and woman hold hands in public?

Kiss in public?

Fondle in public?

Talk to each other in public?

Get married in public?

Go to a picnic in a public park, complete with checkered table cloth and ants?

I could also think of 50,000,000 more examples of how you straight folk don't even realize what y'all can get away with by default when y'all start chanting such bull plop about how everyone else should keep their mouth shut (but said in a way that tries to feebly imply everyone period, and we all know that's a load of bunk). I sure don't like hypocrisy.

Sorry.

12. Boy, you sure like to make a lot of assumptions.

Did I SAY any of those things you just accused me of?

Did I SAY I was straight?

I, personally, don't like locker room conversations by friends or
co-workers (and I've had plenty of these conversations with both
gay and straight friends), and I always have to excuse myself or
change the topic or something else because I don't really want
to hear about last nights conquest. If that irritates you that I
don't like it, that I don't care about other peoples sexuality
or who they are doin it with, that's too bad.

It's like the overt interest the press had in the Clinton/Monica
affair, or the current need for detail in the McGreevey affair.
I don't really want to know that Bill left a stain on Monica's
dress or how they enjoyed a good cigar, nor do I want to know many
details in the McGreevey thing (other than he apparently was
being blackmailed, and he handed out an obvious patronage job to
a lover)

15. No, but you surely implied it!
Forgive me, my defensiveness. But you must admit I have every right to be so.
